Buyer in Saudi Arabia Wins Two Compactors in IronPlanet Auction
PLEASANTON, Calif. – July 26, 2005 – IronPlanet (www.ironplanet.com), the third-largest auction company of heavy equipment in North America, sold $3.6 million of equipment and trucks in its July 14 auction.
Two compactors located in North Carolina sold to a buyer in Saudi Arabia. With the highest bids at $12,500 and $1,900, the buyer won a 1994 Ingersoll-Rand DD90 and a 1996 Leeboy 300, respectively.
The auction drew over 7,000 registered auction attendees from across the U.S. and nine other countries. Thirty-two bidders vied for a 1986 Case 1845C skid-steer loader that sold for $5,000. A 2000 Caterpillar D8R track dozer sold for the highest bid of $207,000.
