Two 2005 Articulated Dump Trucks Sell at IronPlanet Auction

PLEASANTON, Calif. – December 1, 2005 – IronPlanet (www.ironplanet.com), the third-largest auction company of heavy equipment in North America, sold $8.2 million of equipment and trucks in its Dec. 1 auction.

Two 2005 Komatsu HM350-1 articulated dump trucks sold for the highest bids of $310,000 and $308,000, respectively. The equipment was located in West Virginia, with bidders from as far away as New Zealand.

Over 9,000 registered auction attendees from across the U.S. and 12 other countries participated in the unreserved online auction. A 2003 Caterpillar 385BL track excavators sold for $380,000. Twenty-four bidders vied for a 2001 Trail King TX40-2400 trailer that sold for $10,100. A 1997 Kawasaki 90 Z IV wheel loader located in Florida sold to a buyer in Egypt for $31,000.
