IronPlanet Auction Draws 28 Bidders Across North America On Forklift

PLEASANTON, Calif. – November 3, 2005 – IronPlanet (www.ironplanet.com), the third-largest auction company of heavy equipment in North America, sold $2.9 million of equipment and trucks in its Oct. 20 auction.

Twenty-eight bidders competed for a 2002 Caterpillar GP25KLP forklift. The equipment was located in Texas, with bidders from as far away as Alaska. A bidder in California won the forklift for the highest bid of $13,250.

The auction drew over 7,000 registered bidders from across the U.S. and 18 other countries. A 1995 Ford L9000 dump truck sold for $13,250. A buyer in Trinidad bid on equipment worth over $100,000 located in Kentucky, Utah and North Carolina.
