IronPlanet Completes $5.9 Million Auction

PLEASANTON, Calif. – Oct. 19, 2006 – IronPlanet (www.ironplanet.com), the third-largest heavy equipment auction company in North America, sold nearly $6 million of equipment and trucks during its Oct. 19 auction.

Almost 7,000 auction attendees from across the U.S. and 19 other countries registered to bid on over 400 truck and construction equipment items at the online auction. A 2002 Caterpillar 330CL track excavator located in Arizona sold to the highest bidder in California for $144,000. Thirty-one bidders competed for a 1999 Bobcat 773 skid-steer loader that sold to the highest bidder for $11,000. A buyer in Hong Kong bid on 20 scissors lifts, winning highest bid on eight of the units located in California, New Mexico, Texas and Utah.
