IronPlanet™ Achieves Record Sales in Dealer Inventory Auction

Pleasanton, CA — May 1, 2007 — IronPlanet™ (www.ironplanet.com) sold $13.8 million of equipment in its April 12 auction, the company’s largest to date. The Caterpillar sale was a public auction including inventory from more than 20 dealers.

“No other auction company in the country can hold a nationwide dealer inventory auction like this,” said IronPlanet CEO Rob Alleger. “IronPlanet continues to set the pace for high-value asset management.”

The auction drew nearly 10,000 visitors from 17 countries and bidders placed an average of 23 bids per item. The most expensive of the 322 pieces of equipment sold was a 2005 Caterpillar 365CL track excavator that sold for $376,000.
