Dozer Sells for $490,000 At IronPlanet Auction

PLEASANTON, Calif. – Feb. 10, 2006 – IronPlanet (www.ironplanet.com), the third-largest auction company of heavy equipment in North America, sold $4.7 million of equipment and trucks in its Feb. 9 auction.

A 2003 Caterpillar D9R located in Colorado sold to a buyer in California for $490,000. Almost 2,000 unique users hit the tractor’s online features page.

Over 7,900 registered auction attendees from across the U.S. and 19 other countries participated in the unreserved online auction. A 2004 Caterpillar 365BL sold for $210,000. Thirty-three bidders competed for a 1992 Peterbilt 379 that sold for $16,500. A 2000 Caterpillar 950G located in Florida sold to a buyer in California for $82,000.
