In this way, IronPlanet can meet our legal requirement as a California Dealer and assure our California customers their purchases can be registered without issue in California.
Buyers outside California are not subject to these restrictions.
California Dealers can purchase out-of-state vehicles because they are buying the vehicle for resale and will by law be responsible for the smog, VIN etc. requirements when they make their subsequent sale to a California retail customer.
