Position:	Inspector (Contract)
Locations:	Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria & Western Australia

Job Description:

We are looking for contract inspectors (part-time) with proven expertise in construction equipment and trucks to join our network of trained equipment inspectors throughout Australia.

Responsibilities:

Schedules inspections with the equipment consignor.
Inspects construction, agricultural equipment, heavy highway and construction trucks to report the condition of major components and systems.
Measures undercarriages per guidelines and evaluates tires. Evaluates electrical, hydraulic and mechanical components of equipment.
Completes inspection evaluation forms, takes pictures and oil samples, and then forwards completed inspection results to web page report writers.

Requirements:

Five years of heavy equipment and/or heavy truck experience preferably in the repair or operation of diesel equipment.
Technical knowledge of construction equipment including operation, component functions and attachment operations.
Working knowledge of computers and ability to transmit files and photos.
